This Tate Builders designed and built home embraces the 14 patterns of Biophilic Design, which focuses on humans’ connection with nature. The 14 patterns of Biophilic Design inform the design and use of materials that celebrate nature and respect the environment. The house is not only beautiful, sustainable and carefully crafted, the design received unanimous approval from all Town Boards. The officials endorsed the project as a model for Vineyard homes and commended the design for its sustainable energy plan — which gives more energy than it takes — and its low-impact roofline.
